Founder & CEO
Pierre founded Qi Venture Partners in 2014. Qi works with a diverse set of companies as a principal to create significant new enterprise value. The focus is multifaceted and quantitative, solely for the purpose of driving new revenues, developing new opportunities and augmenting current execution.
Prior to founding Qi, Pierre co-founded and directed for 15 years, the Derivative Products Group of Fimat USA, LLC, a subsidiary of Société Générale. DPG specialized in structuring and trading financial solutions for the largest hedge funds, investment banks, and proprietary trading groups in the market. Under Pierre’s management, DPG consisted of more than fifty professionals and was widely considered to be one of the preeminent academic and quantitative groups in the alternative marketplace.
In 2008, Pierre and his colleagues aligned several major institutions including MIT, Moody’s and Real Capital Analytics, to launch the first set of real estate indices to track values across different commercial real estate property classes based on transaction history. Real was named 2008 Entity of The Year by Real Estate Investment and Finance.
Pierre graduated from George Washington University. He attended NYU Graduate School of Business before he left to join an arbitrage strategies group. Pierre interns several students from prestigious universities each summer in a comprehensive financial fellowship program. He has also been a mentor in Big Brother Big Sister Foundation.

Mr. Hamerschlag is also a founding partner of Primary Wave Music Publishing and Primary Wave Entertainment, a global music publisher. Primary Wave Entertainment is currently one of the largest independent music & entertainment marketing, talent management and music publishing companies in the United States.
Prior to joining Qi, Marc was involved in a series of entrepreneurial ventures, spanning marketing, film finance, law and litigation finance and the acquisition of esoteric assets.
Prior to joining Qi, Scott was the principal architect for Société Générale’s Currency Trading desk in the United States. This proprietary trading group was perennially one of the bank’s most successful profit contributors throughout Scott’s 15 years serving as both its Managing Director and Head Trader.
Following that time, Scott created a business development advisory service, working with clients across a number of business sectors to shape and execute strategies for new product development. Some of the industries served include Financial Products, Luxury Travel, Healthcare, Snack Foods, and Commercial Real Estate.
Scott graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Business Management.
